Prof. Dr. Verginia Georgieva has a very rich practical and scientific experience in pharmacology, phytotherapy and internal diseases. After graduating from the Medical Academy and specializing in pharmacology, she actively continues her academic and scientific career, with qualifications in the field of phytotherapy and nanomedicine. Taking into account her scientific research and achievements, the Institute for Biographical Categorisations awarded Dr. Georgieva the title of “professor”. Prof. Dr. Verginia Georgieva is a member of the New York Academy of Sciences, the Union of Scientists in Bulgaria, the International Society for Histamine Research, and the Societies of Neuroscience and Pharmacology in our country. She is a follower of the famous naturopath Lydia Kovacheva. For more than twenty years she has been working on the method of therapeutic fasting in a softened form, further developing this system.

The Medical Center "Medica 2005" was founded by Prof. Dr. Plamen Tsvetanov, MD, a consultant in Nervous Diseases in the UK, in his hometown of Vidin. An enthusiastic team of specialists followed his ideas and in 2010 opened the "Akademika 2008" Branch - Pleven, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of nervous diseases. Seventeen years after the opening of the center, in 2022, a Sofia Branch was established, formed by specialists, university professors, established in the country and abroad, equipped to provide highly specialized activities.
